There are a number of parks and trails around Lake Lure, NC. Some of these personal favorites are Chimney Rock State Park (Adjacent to Lake Lure in Chimney Rock, NC) and Mount Mitchell State Park (North of Black Mountain). The views from both are absolutely amazing. We often bring our dogs and they have a blast every time we go. Both of these parks are very dog friendly. These are definitely two of the busier parks and you will see lots of dogs at both, so plan accordingly. You can’t go wrong with any of these beautiful parks.
